Committee Chair – J.D. Daniels

Jim (JD) Daniels is the division manger for emergency services and operation support for National Security Technologies, LLC, the management and operating contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration Nevada Site Office. He is responsible for managing the emergency response organization that encompasses fire & rescue operations, medical response, command & control operations, and emergency management. Previously, he managed the operations command center for the Nevada Nuclear Security Site, including more than 950 emergency notifications and scheduling 18,000 aviation flights over the site. Daniels has more than 30 years of experience working in command and control facilities, including 21 years in the U.S. Air Force. He is also actively involved with the Leadership Las Vegas program, and is a 2012 graduate. He serves as chairman of the Metro Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee.
